ABOUT MNB
Mongolian television's first broadcast aired September 27, 1967, and first color broadcast was produced in 1981. In 1991, Mongolian television began broadcasting via the Asiasat system,
extending its reach to remote areas of Mongolia and abroad. In January 1997,
Mongolian National Television became a full member of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), initiating international cooperation.

In February 2005, the Public Radio and Television Law was enacted,
granting MNB the status of a "public" broadcaster, providing a legal framework for serving
the public with independent information. The establishment of this public status
for a national broadcaster was a significant milestone in the history of Mongolian media.

Today, MNB operates several channels, including Mongolian Radio,
the Voice of Mongolia (broadcastin multiple languages), the P3 shortwave radio,
and five television channels: MNB, MNBNews, MNBSports, MNBFamily, and MNBWorld.
